In conjunction with our spring exhibition focused on photography, join the Muscarelle on a bus trip to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. We’ll see some of the most iconic portraits of the 20th century in the National Gallery’s special exhibition, Dorothea Lange: Seeing People. The exhibition addresses Lange’s innovative approaches to picturing people, emphasizing her work on social issues including economic disparity, migration, poverty and racism. We’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Dorothea Lange exhibition with an educator from the National Gallery, then you’ll have free time to explore the rest of the museum and have lunch in one of the museum cafés.
Date: Monday, March 4, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: The bus will depart from the W&M campus. Registered participants will receive further details and a parking pass by email — please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
