Giving
Private giving sustains the Muscarelle Museum of Art, facilitating every aspect of our mission to expand engagement in the visual arts and serve as a working laboratory for the university.
Philanthropy expands our impact by providing support for operating costs, funding new acquisitions and exhibitions, sponsoring events and workshops, and so much more.
The Muscarelle Impact Fund provides unrestricted support for the Museum’s most pressing needs. From supplies for youth workshops to facilities costs, we rely on the Impact Fund to keep the lights on and power our day-to-day operations.
The Martha Wren Briggs Center for the Visual Arts has taken shape, but fundraising continues to ensure we are able to take full advantage of this state-of-the-art venue and become a regional destination for art.
Other Ways to Give
Donations of Art
Gifts of art from alumni and friends of the university have been integral in creating a world-class collection at the Muscarelle.
Proposed donations of art will be reviewed by the Museum’s Collections Committee to determine if the work of art is consistent with the institution’s mission and strategic goals.
Planned Giving
Make a gift that will impact the Muscarelle for generations to come. The knowledgeable and experienced Gift Planning staff at William & Mary is available to assist you and your professional advisors in determining which plan will best meet your needs and objectives.
