Join us for a trip to the late 1960s and the 1970s, a time when the best-selling book Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee took the nation by storm, Andy Warhol and Pop Art redefined the art market, Bob Dylan’s music topped the charts, and the American Indian Movement was born. This period and movement shaped many of the artists featured in our current exhibition Shared Ideologies. Exhibition curator Danielle Moretti-Langholtz will provide context and explain how they impacted Native American art in this engaging lecture.
