BUILDING ON THE LEGACY: Book Signing Event

Please join us for a book signing by Jacquelyn Y. McLendon on Wednesday, January 22 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Building on the Legacy: African Americans at William & Mary, An Illustrated History of 50 Years and Beyond will be available for purchase at the signing.  Building on the Legacy: African Americans at William & Mary combines fascinating stories and a wealth of exciting visuals to provide historical understanding of many victories over enormous odds. Featuring a glorious visual commemoration of 50 years of African American students in residence, it also reveals glimpses of the extraordinary impact of diversity and inclusion on the university.

This special evening will include a brief talk by the author as well as a poetry reading by Dr. Hermine Pinson and a dance choreographed by Leah Glenn.  This event is free and open to the public.
