Please join the Muscarelle Museum of Art for a special Charter Day weekend event! Curator of Native American Art Danielle Moretti-Langholtz and Guest Curator Buck Woodard will be at the Museum to sign copies of their newly published exhibition catalogue Building the Brafferton: The Founding, Funding and Legacy of America’s Indian School, which will be available for purchase.  This extraordinary new publication from the Muscarelle Museum of Art reframes the history of William & Mary’s Brafferton Indian School with featured essays from Danielle Moretti-Langholtz, Buck Woodard, Ashley Atkins Spivey, Edward Chappell, Audrey Horning, Susan Kern, Mark Kostro, Alexandra Martin, Stephanie Pratt, Dylan Ruediger, Sydney Stewart, and Michaela Wright.

This special event will feature a drum performance by Aaron Winston from the Chowanoke Nation and a brief talk by the authors. The event is free and open to the public!
