IT HAPPENED… 1619 AND BEYOND

Join us for an evening of commemoration and celebration in response to our 1619 / 2019 exhibition.  Like the “Happenings” of the 1960s, this event will feature a variety of media, including dance, poetry and interactive arts looking at the past (what was), present (what is) and future (what will be).  This will be a time to reflect and respond using the dynamic forces of creation to explore history and its psychological manifestations on the present.

The performance will be held in Andrews Hall, Room 101 from 6 – 7 PM and immediately after the performance, guests will process to the Muscarelle Museum of Art for a drinks and dessert reception accompanied by live music from 7 – 8 PM.
