MUSIC IN THE GALLERIES: CHRISTOPHER DELAURENTI

On Thursday, September 26th, beginning at 6:00 PM, please join us at the for a special musical performance by sound artist Christopher DeLaurenti at the Muscarelle Museum of Art. DeLaurenti performs with vintage electronic devices and activated objects in tandem with commercial and customized sound software. You will hear gossamer electromagnetic fields, lyrical system noise, unusual acoustic phenomena, and location recordings culled from his 25-year archive among the abstract art works included in The Adjacent Possible exhibition. DeLaurenti has performed internationally and appears on over 50 solo, collaborative and compilation albums. Christopher holds an MFA from Bard College and is currently completing his PhD at Goldsmiths University. He is currently a Senior Lecturer teaching Sound Design, Music, and Writing as well as Film and Audio Production in the Department of Music at William & Mary.
