About this event
Muscarelle Members — including all William & Mary faculty, staff, and students — are invited to join us for a special evening celebrating Visions of the West, a new exhibition curated by W&M students enrolled in ARTH 331: The Curatorial Project.
Hear directly from the student curators during a panel discussion and Q&A, then explore the exhibition and discover the stories behind the artwork. Visions of the West draws on works from the Muscarelle Museum of Art and William & Mary’s Special Collections Research Center. Bringing together maps, photographs, sketches, and paintings that explore the West as both a geographic region and a cultural construct, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how representations of the West continue to influence our cultural imagination.
After the panel discussion, continue the evening with light refreshments, drinks from the cash bar, and one complimentary drink token for each guest.
