How the Conservation of Two Florentine Sixteenth Century Panels Confirmed their Attribution

April 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Speaker: Marco Grassi, painting conservator, collector, and dealer in New York
Muscarelle Museum of Art, VA United States
Free

Lecture by Marco Grassi, painting conservator, collector, and dealer in New York. Grassi graduated from Princeton and quickly amassed an impressive client list, which allowed him access to some of the great art treasures of the world. This makes him singularly qualified to identify and analyze the attribution of two Florentine sixteenth century panels. One of the panels, Apollo and Marsyas, by Agnolo Bronzino is featured in our current exhibition, The Art and Science of Connoisseurship. Grassi will present his research in an illustrated lecture.

The Third Thursday Lecture Series is presented by EVB.
