Mother’s Day Tea — Muscarelle Café

Treat the mothers and other mother figures in your life to a special afternoon at the Muscarelle Museum of Art!

First, explore the galleries, including First Looks and Favorites from the Permanent Collection, featuring many newly-acquired and long-admired works by women artists. Docent-led tours will be offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM — no admission fee and no registration required!

Then, enjoy a Tea for Two Box in the Muscarelle Cafe, featuring:
– Classic cucumber tea sandwiches
– Assortment of artisanal cheese and crackers with fresh grapes
– Chocolate-covered strawberries
– Hand-crafted fresh fruit tartlet
– 2 servings of hot tea or coffee

**On Friday, May 8, from 2-5 PM, we’ll be hosting a special tea blending demonstration and tasting by local tea purveyor Sweeta’s Teas. Owner Freda Keller has selected four custom teas for guests to choose from, with optional additions for the perfect custom blend. Tea Boxes served during the demonstration will include two servings of Sweeta’s Tea. Throughout the remainder of the weekend, tea boxes will be served with the café’s regular selection of artisanal teas from Tea Forté.
